Ingredients
1½ cups whiskey or bourbon
¾ cup Mike’s Hot Honey
¼ cup light molasses
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
½ teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
1 12–14-lb. cured smoked bone-in ham, skin removed
Preparation
Mix all ingredients except the ham together until combined as a glaze.
Cut cross pattern scores in fat side of ham and brush with glaze.
Add 2 cups water to bottom of large roasting pan and cook at 350 F, basting with pan juices every 20 minutes, until it reaches 135 F internal temp (approx 1.5 - 2 hours).
Let rest 10 minutes before slicing and finish with extra Mike’s Hot Honey and serve.
